DESCRIPTION
Arising from the same unholy concoction as its immediate predecessor in the series, Resident Evil 5 looks like a third-person shooter, plays like a first-person shooter, and feels like a survival-horror game. As in the acclaimed Resident Evil 4, an up-close, over-the-shoulder perspective allows players to see the heroes in action. Accessible aiming controls and fluid graphics make for quick, intuitive weapon use. Creepy settings, un-human enemies, and keen pacing create experiences of tense exploration, startling surprise, and overwhelmingly outnumbered desperation. The first in the Resident Evil series designed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the game presents its horrors in high-definition, built on a custom-enhanced version of Capcom's MT Framework game engine.
The story takes place in Africa, in the fictional desert country of Kijuju. The game is set about a ten years after the events of the original Resident Evil, and features the original game's character Chris Redfield in the lead role. He is accompanied by a skilled mercenary named Sheva Alomar. The two make a good team, and many of the most challenging situations in the game are best overcome with teamwork. When one of the two characters has been subdued or wounded, the other can "help" or "heal" with the press of a button. Other circumstances call for particular solutions, such as one player drawing enemies out of cover while the other picks them off with rifle shots from a safer location.
Both characters are agents of a international group known as the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (or BSAA), on a mission to investigate the origins of the nefarious Tyrant virus, variants of which have been responsible for turning ordinary people and animals into mindless, zombie-like killing machines throughout the Resident Evil series. The game's levels are a mix of spooky, scripted runs and open-ended battles that develop dynamically. Although facing surprise attacks and overwhelming odds, a run-and-gun approach won't last; it takes situational tactics and good ammo management to make it through each stage. Online multiplayer co-op is available throughout the game, in which one player controls Chris and the other controls Sheva. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

I mean, vampires have derived from being gothic characters, and personally I can't see a lot of different between the modern day "goth" and "emo" (forgive my lack of knowing general labels people give one another...) In many stories they do not die without it, as they are immortal and its more of a craving than necessary to live (although they may weaken, and besides the Cullens drink animal blood they don't starve themselves). In many tales, sunlight is not fatal to vampires - in fact it's only become an integral weakness in fiction since the 19th Century. I mean, would you have them turn into bats and be weak to garlic?
As for the sparkle thing? So what.. she tried something new and it was a bit unusual. It's not like they turn into fluffy bunnies, and it hardly ruins the movies.
Both of my male friends who have seen it enjoy it, as do I. Fair enough if people decide that Twilight isn't for them, but I think it's a bit much to say that the movie's done anything that majorly breaks the mould. I just think, if people don't like a movie they shouldn't say it's wrong for others to enjoy it.

There is a Vampire trait I think called BABYFACE that allows some to spend some time in the light without effect, they can also eat normal food too. Allows them to maintain the Masquerade easier. Any decent Vampire genre story should subscribe to the Masquerade/Anne Rice model. That is the most fully developed and most believable model which is based a lot on actual folk and biblical lore. Try to find the book of NOD and leaf through it, it's a book tied to the Masquerade game but it's just for background, kind of like the Similarian (probably spelled wrong) for Tolkien. This has some of the stories that they base their Vampires on, its also interesting reading if nothing else.”

The primary differeance that most people gow tih that seperates Gothic and Emo is very clear. Gothics just prefer to be left alone and see themselves as being unique. Even though it did become a craze. Where as Emo's are more the "I hate my life I'm going to slit my wrists because no one gives a f*ck about me but I can't do it because I'm a pussy." This is also seen in Underworld with the original syblings and their father where it branched off into younger generations. If I recall in the Masqurade it was stated that some of the oldest generations could also sustain without blood for weeks to even a month or two without more then a pint of blood. Then again I'm remembering for the original game, not the newest. I actually miss LARPing the original version....

The save points were in the worst location ever, I would die 10 times before getting there or coming back AWAY from the save point to the main map. I was effectively doing NOTHING, just barely making progress in the storyline then saving before I died. I blame the clunky interface, fighting should've been more fluid and all that but wasn't. Also, the respawns on EVERYTHING? Have fucking MERCY. Wasn't it enough that I spent an HOUR of my life trying to kill the convicts in the Jeep only to have them RESPAWN again?”

“@maggiefiasco I'm not surprised by the opinions expressed, a lot of people really hated the game. But a lot of people loved it too (myself included). Yes, it is very unforgiving at times, a real hardcore gamer game. At the same time it's a truly satisfying feeling when you get the hang of it and master it. Some of the achievements are among the most difficult I've encountered - I mean come on, killing 50 000+ zombies in one sitting, surviving for 14 real life hours for 20G each?
